Kim and I have been talking about taking a random motorcycle ride to Corpus Christi, Texas for years. Yesterday, we made the last minute decision to actually do it. We left San Antonio on the Goldwing around 10am yesterday morning and with all of the stops for gas, traffic and bathroom breaks made it to Snoopy's (one of my favorite seafood places in Corpus) around 1:30pm for lunch.
We were pretty fried from the summer heat, so we decided to hang out at the pier for a couple of hours to nurse some ice cream and cool off before heading to North Beach for some quick shots with my Nikon and a brief walk-around before having to head back home. I would have loved to have stayed longer but the beaches were packed with locals / summer tourists and all hotel availability was extremely limited or only available at a heavy premium.
As you can see from the last picture in the photo album above -- the beaches in Corpus are already packed.

Overall, we had a great time and I'm glad we finally got a chance to put the Goldwing on a much longer journey than our usual jaunts around town.
Looking forward to the next one!
