About Me
Who am I? I'm just a random guy with a couple of digital cameras living in San Antonio, Texas.
I enjoy traveling, food, photography, computer programming, motorcycles and airsoft. Those are primarily the topics of my posts on this website. I might deviate from time to time but that's mostly 'the list'.
What photography equipment do you use? I shoot my website photos with a Nikon D750 and a Sony A7RII. I don't really have a preference on glass / lenses because I'm constantly rotating through equipment and never keep one configuration for very long. I really like my Nikkor 50mm F1.8G prime and my Nikkor 28mm F2.8 manual-focus lens for the D750. I've got a really great copy of a Minolta MC Rokkor 50mm F1.7 for the Sony that almost never comes off of the camera. Sony's native 28mm F2 is also a pretty good walk-around lens that I use quite often for travel shots. It's light. It's sharp. It's got great auto-focus capability and it handles low-light situations very well.
Are you related to the Justin Young in San Antonio that used to fix oboes, bassoons and clarinets? Yep, that's me. Nope, I don't do that anymore. It was a great career while it lasted and I have zero regrets about running my own instrument repair business. After spending 12 wonderful years serving the Texas music industry, I decided to shut down the business and move on to something that works better for me at this stage of my life.
I used to be a previous customer of yours. Can I reach out to you just to catch up? Sure...shoot me a line if you'd like. Email: jyoung4225@gmail.com
