Nikon D750 + Nikkor 50mm F1.8

This was another few photos from my previous night / street photography session.  Before the riots and protesting started, we had a unique opportunity to walk the streets of downtown San Antonio, Texas and take lots of shots without too many people in them (rare).

It was getting really dark by this point and I didn't have a tripod to compensate for the slow shutter speeds, so quite a few of these came out more like shaky cellphone snapshots rather than deliberate photographs.  It's whatever -- I still consider it practicing and practice is always good.

It's also worth noting that while the occasional homeless person makes their way into my photos, it is not my intention to disrespect them or highlight their situation as "dire" in any way but rather to illustrate that homeless people are simply a part of living in a large city.  The majority of them are quite friendly and our city's residents regularly help to provide them with food, financial assistance and/or clothing.
